Here, I added a w/w wash of cobalt blue over the dried quin. rose and burnt orange. |
Then, I spent this morning finishing her eyes, and doing some soft glazing on the furry shadows. |
Here she is - in a close-up. |
With Drake, I started a scrumbly background with aureolin towards the top and quin. burnt orange below. |
The paintings are coming along beautifully ☺
ReplyDeleteWow! They look great Kathryn... The look in her eyes... She is in deep thought... Love how Drakes background is coming along.. Beautiful... Now to me, he looks like he is waiting for that treat..
ReplyDeleteYes, I would say that was quite a decent mornings work...
fondly,

Both dogs look terrific. It's slow going, but the results are well worth it. That Drake looks like a sweetheart

Loving the progress with these two wonder-dogs. Once the eyes are 'alive' the paintings start to take on a life of their own.
ReplyDeleteYour geese certainly begin my day with a smile when I open your blog :)
two lovely dogs and the paintings are coming along beautifully .... love the 'smile' on Drake's face.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will leave the 'What the ???? ' stage quickly , looks like you're getting there. You make me smile :-)) xx
ReplyDeleteWow Kathryn - just catching up on your blog...these two pooches are fabulous. As always you capture their personalities in the eyes. Can't wait to see them finished. Hope you and the dogs and Bruno have a delightful weekend. Hugs.
