Background
Had a busy and productive day. Riding lesson - a tough one for Bruno and me - at 9 AM. Then I moved 20 bales of hay, to make room for another year's supply. Did a bit of painting. Had a wonderful nap. Back to painting. My riding instructor is the person who introduced me to Andy, when I was looking for a new hay source. I showed her the painting after our lesson, and she said, yes, it did look like him, but needed to be rougher looking. So I spent my painting time today roughing up Andy, and I think it worked quite well.
As always, your comments are most welcome. |

Incredible finish, Kathryn. I love the roughness in his face. It gave him a beautiful finish. I love the light hitting the right side of his face as well..You should be so proud of this one!!
ReplyDeleteThis i9s wonderful!I love how you have managed to get the creases in his nose and his 5 o'clock shadow! Great character and captured so well :0)

Hello Kathryn:) I like him a lot more this rough! It fits the person:) I love the way you did this portret. Very nice:)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea... Have the entire sequence in one post. I have learned a lot about your process. Thanks for sharing! Some of the more subtle adjustments are more evident when you see the entire sequence and compare two continuous steps side by side :-)
ReplyDeletejust wonderful. Sooooo enjoy your processes
