Cute paintings! I have tons of bunnies in my yard. A few months ago my daughter found a baby bunny whose mother had been killed. She took it home but soon discovered that he was plenty old enough to take care of himself. So we let him go in my yard. He now has plenty of company. :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are great, I really like to see your painting stages, I like how you focused on the bunnies with minimal background. We have bunnies too, I enjoy them right up until they eat my pea plants from the garden, before I get to eat the peas! I think my dog opens the garden gate to let them in...
ReplyDeleteLove this little guy! We have very few bunnies/rabbits due to the coyotes in our neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteYou have a truly remarkable skill in painting animals, Kathryn ... This rabbit is so beautiful, in both versions. I really like how you left loose the washes, the bunny stands perfectly well on the white background! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWonderful bunny painting. It has a real "illustrated" feel to it.
ReplyDeleteLove these, they remind me of Beatrix Potter illustrations! Looks like mischievous bunny to me:)
ReplyDeletenicely rendered. I too ahve several cottontails [3 at the moment]who are welfare rabbits as they get a daily carrot or two. great subject material though.
