Format size is about 10 x 12 inches.
I have almost all of the local leaf color down; now the FUN part.
This is going to be a long, slow haul. Almost of the painting is being done w/w, using small to tiny brushes. It does make a difference to the quality of depth and the 3-D effect, so I will continue with it. |
Wow, looking great already Kathryn!
ReplyDeleteIt is looking great,I have a feeling its going to be one of your best ones!
ReplyDeleteI love the subtle warm/cool color variations and value changes on the pedals. Your patience and attention to details show through. It's looking great!
ReplyDeleteOne thing I find difficult in a complicated painting like this with a lot of overlapping shape is the edge quality where on shape comes into contact with another. When I wet each shape separately and drop in colors wet in wet, it tend to form a darkened edge between two shapes. Do you know how to avoid this?
looks very nice! great patient work you are doing there :)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting so excited to see this one progress! It's going to be jsut beautiful!
