I can hardly see ant difference, but I have been putting some shading on the leaf tips in purple. I suppose it is hard to see, when I've been using a brush the size of 5 eyelashes!!! |
When I'd reached my limit with the above painting, I moved to the hibiscus, and worked on the leaves. As always, please feel free to leave comments or questions. |
You are right Kathryn, it is hard to see a difference.
ReplyDeleteWhat patience you must have to use such tiny brushes!
ReplyDeleteBoth paintings are progressing well xx
They are coming along beautifully. It reminds me so much of when I was doing botanical painting, so slow...but very rewarding in the end. Have a nice trip Kathryn and congratulations to Julian!
ReplyDeleteOoh I LOVE the background on this one. It makes the flower sing, even before it's finished! Thank you so much for the photo of the Chinchillas by the way. They are ADORABLE!!!! :0D
ReplyDeleteSlow but very sure - this looks amazing! Enjoy your nephew's party, {{}}
ReplyDeleteBetter slow than sorry!! Looking great!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the hibiscus as well..perfect background color...I look forward to your next post, Kathryn.
This quote made me think of you. :-D "Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish." ~ John Quincy Adams
ReplyDeletei absolutely love the way you work! you are patient and let the work have it's time and life. so looking forward to seeing these completed! it's frustrating when one spends hours on a section and himself comes home and says.."oh, you didn't work today!" grrr! slow and easy is the ticket though.
