This photo was taken under lighting of the Verilux and a "daylight" bulb. It's an unbelievable difference. As always, your comments are most welcome. |
Thoughts and tangential meanderings on horses, painting, and anything else that captures my interest

Looking very good, Kathryn.
ReplyDeleteAmazing the difference that light makes, isn't it? :) xx
The difference is really unbelievable! Now the question is: which one is closer to the real painting?
ReplyDeleteYour getting 'behind' with these two :0)
ReplyDeleteYou really are pulling these two out of the canvas into the real world, Kathryn! Marvellous!
hi Kathryn i love how you work, you think and then put a color, look and then add a shadow and so you going slowly to the end, but, how my horoscope say today :Rome wasn't built in a day........at finally your work will look as beautifull than Rome.(today i feel that my innovative english is better then other days:))

I really love the complex colors you have going in this piece Kathryn. They really add so much depth and interest! And Bruno's shiny rump is so perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes take forever to photograph a painting, the light is incredible different depending on where I stand, I think Judy said it all ! xx
ReplyDeleteI feel like we could pat his rump!

I love the sheen on his velvety coat! This is looking fantastic!! You pick tricky subjects don't you? Horses are not one I'd be brave enough to attempt! :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The depth that the blue and brown shadow gives is dramatic and so effective against the light of the open door.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a pleasure to see the progression photos, Kathryn!
ReplyDeleteThis one turned out great!
And I love the shine on his skin..the shadows are great too...
