Himself
Before I start getting ready for work [at my "real" job] I thought I'd quickly post Trigger's state right now. He still needs a bit of fussing - perhaps more thin glazes in the shadows, and his delicate roan spots. Judy left a message wondering where the update had disappeared, so here it is. I must say, the watercolor in real life looks much better than on the screen here. I quite like it, and hope the owner loves it!!!
As always, your comments are most welcome. |
I follow your progress on Trigger closely as you see :) I'm sure the owner will be thrilled, the details in his neck and head are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe background looks great. Lots of work, but it paid off. The owner is going to be thrilled. Schmid says we don't make shadows dark enough. I do agree Trigger's shadows need a bit more glazing. You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteOf course we can't see it as it really is, as you say, I find that a pain with my stuff too. Having said that, I should think the owner will love it.
ReplyDeleteHow large did you say it was? The reason I ask is it seems even better when I click on it, it brings out the detail. So I can only see being even better than I realise it is ... and I think it's perfect!
Magnificent! He is breathtakingly gorgeous - so lifelike! I LOVE him!
ReplyDeleteYour client will absolutely love this painting...I can only imagine how it's going to look matted and framed!!! Congratulations, Kathryn
