12 x 18.5 cm. I'm not sure if I want to let him/her stand alone, or have some sort of almost-not-there background. |
I really darkened the background. As a result, Trig looked quite cold, so I warmed up his face and neck with some pinks and oranges. DONE! |
No surprise to me that Kim would like it, Kathryn..I love this horse....since he's white, I think a dark background was perfect...the pinks and oranges are perfect!! Love your WIP and look forward to seeing this one done....
ReplyDeleteGood news on Trigger! You worked hard on getting him just right.
ReplyDeleteThe 'Sting' looks quite stingy ... lots of rain on the West coast!
I love the Trigger portrait! It is so Real yet somehow mysterious too :0) .. and knowing the history it makes me appreciating it even more.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Irina
The horse is really handsome. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYour bees are so sweet, dreaming of summer is always nice on a rainy day, and Trigger is absolutely stunning , outstanding work ! xx
ReplyDeleteWell done on the sale - Trigger looks fab!
ReplyDeleteAs for wasps... paper ones are best :)
Congratulations Kathryn, I'm glad Kim liked the painting! I like the expression 'it's raining cats and dogs'. In Dutch we would say 'it's raining pipe stems'. I like the cats and dogs better. :)
ReplyDeleteTrigger is fabulous! I also really like your cute little guys above.
ReplyDeleteGeweldig wat een prachtig paard heel erg mooi gedaan lieve groetjes Danielle
ReplyDeleteAwesome job on trigger! I think such paintings look more real than any photorealistic work! The two insect works are also lovely. Are they your new experiments?
ReplyDeleteEek! Bugs!! What a great subject. I'm scared of wasps so they're not my first choice of subjects, but you've done a great job! As for the horse, wow! He looks absolutely amazing :0))
ReplyDeleteLove Trigger! He's amazing! love,Diana

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I almost missed the grand finale of Trigger - and he is just beautiful! I am sure his owner must be thoroughly thrilled - congratulations on a job well done and a successful commission!
