| Still in progress. This one is a little more painterly. I found a cute cartoon of "raining cats and dogs", but I just read the small print, and found I would be infringing on copywrite. So, imagine the rain ... pelting down ... Kim, Trigger's owner, and I finally got together yesterday. She loved the painting, and the portrait is sold ... finally. :) |

| I really darkened the background. As a result, Trig looked quite cold, so I warmed up his face and neck with some pinks and oranges. DONE! |
No surprise to me that Kim would like it, Kathryn..I love this horse....since he's white, I think a dark background was perfect...the pinks and oranges are perfect!! Love your WIP and look forward to seeing this one done....

I love the Trigger portrait! It is so Real yet somehow mysterious too :0) .. and knowing the history it makes me appreciating it even more.

Congratulations Kathryn, I'm glad Kim liked the painting! I like the expression 'it's raining cats and dogs'. In Dutch we would say 'it's raining pipe stems'. I like the cats and dogs better. :)
