Take art too seriously does cramp your style. I like my older pieces too! They are freer, less uncut reed with theory and how-to garble. These should be gone in a flash; they are impressive every one.
ReplyDeleteKathryn, it's really nice to see your earlier work. Funny, but I like some of my older pieces too! I just love "Cool Cows" and "Pink Passion"! They all should be in the gallery! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteEvery one of them is magical and beautiful..,,everyone of them!

Absolument merveilleux, chère Kathryn !!
ReplyDeleteThese are all outstanding, Kathryn. I love how you captured the "old time" look in Tourists in Tuscany...
ReplyDeleteand your Barn study is fantastic.... I don't think you'll have a problem finding new homes for them!!!
It is very easy to get caught up in all of that and sometimes it can end up being quite stressful! They are all gorgeous paintings! I hope they all find a new home soon, but meanwhile you can always hang them and enjoy them until it happens :0)
ReplyDeleteThe more successful the more commissions; the more commissions the more you paint what others want;
ReplyDeletethe more you paint what others want the less time for you.
Like the 'old' paintings very much and I'm sure others will too!
They are all so lovely. Be prepared to have an empty car driving home. :)
ReplyDeleteKathryn- I think all your art is wonderful. You are an amazing artist. So glad you shared your flashback. I am sure these will find homes. Hugs
ReplyDeleteAll these paintings are fabulous, they absolutely deserve being framed.I agree with you, it is so easy to get too serious , when all that painting should be about is passion and fun. xx
ReplyDeleteLove your work! I could not pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteJohn Simlett has summed up what I was going to say. I've had a break from commissions for a year now and that has rekindled my enjoyment and I'm experimenting more than I've been able to do in years.
ReplyDeleteI love your older pieces, particularly Clematis, Pink Passion and of course Tourists in Tuscany as I have a soft spot for your Geese :-)
I really love your older paintings, especially the flowers! Hope you'll find the fun and passion again!
