Sketch, loosely based on some of my photos |
HAH ... looks like there is nothing there, but there is a very thin glaze of aureolin. |
Still pussyfooting, with very thin washes |
Ah ... that's better. Colors used are aureolin, quin. siena, phthalo green [blue], new gamboge |
Just intensifying colors on all the gourds |
They come in many shapes and when I see them in the shops, I just want to buy them all for an artistic kitchen display :-) and your painting would look good hanging on a kitchen wall. I like it a lot , beautiful and light.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice sunday Kathryn.
I love the background one too - he has real character! xx

Great work.
ReplyDeleteLoving it so far! Lovely colours too :0)
ReplyDeleteOooh I like this Kathryn! That pattern on the gourds is so cool. :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice Kathryn, you really snuck up on me when I was watching your steps. Things really came together nicely. I love the simple background, it really works.
ReplyDeleteI love how you did the pattern on the large gourd - I saw your painting and ran to the store to buy similar gourds to make a Thanksgiving centerpiece!
