I painted all the husks this evening. I think the looseness is a reaction to the weather. It's snowing, and I hate snow. Horses neither ski nor skate. |
Taken this morning. There is more coming down now. BOO! HISS!! As always, your comments are most welcome! |
I hope you'll give the cows another try, Kathryn. Love the corn!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I would have even noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. Could you not disguise it with some strategically placed grasses?
ReplyDeleteThe corn is amazing - i just love the colours!
I wonder if we will get snow this year? :0)
I love the cows! Really couldnt see anything wrong with it until I read the post! Someone wisely said that an artist is his / her own worst critique :)! The corn is coming out great.
ReplyDeleteTry the cows again, please, Kathryn! The corn is going to be woonderful - and - I LOVE the snow! I think Bruno does, too, even though he can neither ski nor skate!
ReplyDeleteWe think the cows are perfect just the way they are!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the truth.
love
tweedles
love the corn and the intricate design. And like the other friends,I hope the cows call you back
ReplyDeleteI love your cows and don't think you should give up on them...I don't see anything wrong with them!!! Love the corn...!!!! We haven't seen any snow yet! I love it when it comes down but hate it when I have to go out and clean off my car because I have to go out..! LOL
ReplyDeleteWell I never found cows very interesting...until now... don't turn your back on them, Kathryn ... they are really full of promise.
ReplyDeleteCorn looks good ... snow does not, ugh!
Your colour's of corn is gorgeous and I'm looking forward seeing your hydrangea.Thank you for sharing.
DeleteI had not noticed the defect you mentioned. For me, the cows on the right may well be on a ground not leveled, hollow and hump. They do not have their feet in the water.
ReplyDeleteReflections, no ripple on the surface, give a somewhat surreal scene that could be a choice on your part. Exaggeration that gives the impression of a still image, as if time had stopped. Effect which is also incorporated by the clarity of the sky and water.
Ah yes, I almost forgot: your work on the corn kernels's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDear Kathryn:) I will be a bit stupid, but I still don't see what there is not good. Not even in the magnification. I hope the cows still have a chance. I found the transition from Orange to blue so beautiful. And the cows with the reflections beautifully. Maybe you should let it rest for a while. The corn is wonderful. Nice colors and shape!
ReplyDeleteAnd BOO to the snow for me too! Big hug:)
