Today, I just put a w/w wash over the leaves on the lower right, as the whites seemed to distract from the rose. Signed and finished!
The framable size is 13 x 9 inches.

ReplyDeletePure perfection ! xx
ReplyDeleteI do believe that the word suggested by Tweedles is exactly right - this rose is, indeed, splendorious! Ages ago when I painted in watercolor, I remember having some of the same feelings about Arches as you do - no matter what paper I tried, I always came back to Arches. Fall has arrived in Reno as well with magnificent cloudy skies, wind and cold temperatures at night. This morning the water in my birdbath was frozen solid!
ReplyDeleteYou really caught it!!! Great job. I love how the background really works with the rose.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous, Kathryn!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe intricacies of the rose petals are amazing!
