A TRIP TO GRANVILLE ISLAND
I have been falling behind in my posts. So today I am posting a trip to Granville Island, in Vancouver, to deliver a painting to the Federatio of Canadian Artists show. My sister, Denise, very kindly offered to drive, aas I don't like going into the city, and definitely do not like driving there.
Once upon a time, Granville Island was an industrial area. When Vancouver won the nomination to have Expo 86 here, the area was transformed. It is now an area of small shops, the Emily Carr School of Art, theatres, restaurants, a huge maketplace, housing - a very cool spot in the city. I took some photos of our drive through the area, and delivering my painting to the gallery.
I haven't figured out how to post captions on the new blogger yet, but I hope you enjoy the photos. And yes, That is my sister , Denise, in the photo AND in the painting!
Thank you for droppping by!
