Bruno with his mound of hogs fuel.
It really was busy here today, with animals, trucks, landscapers coming and going, and making sure the animals were safe. But it's done. All I need is to get someone with a bobcat or tractor over to spread this out, and we'll be fine. And somehow I managed to find time to paint. I am excited [in a watercolory sort of way] about how the portrait is coming along, and I just had to work on it. Also, it's back to scaling teeth tomorrow, and I know I won't feel much like painting after work.
As always, your comments are most welcome. |
I admire your energy and enthusiasm! Such hard work in the farm and still doing beautiful portrait of the little girl! waiting to see it finished - the w i p is a treat initself :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, Kathryn, you do look busy. But judging from your tone, it's all coming together nicely. This shows in the portrait which looks like it's building into something special.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a busy life you have! I don't know how you fit it all in! Let's hope we don't get as much rain as we did last year or all that mulch will be washed away! I love the photo of the sparrows and i also like how your portrait is progressing. It seems to be coming forward in places now thanks to those wonderful shadows :0)
ReplyDeleteLoved watching the progress on your watercolor. She is emerging so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll pass on the idea of owning a farm someday...I'm tired already!! LOL... Kathryn, your watercolor portrait is coming along SO beautifully. Definitely a favorite...she's so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a productive day. . . The portrait is coming along nicely and with your fresh, new footing, you should be riding high and dry all winter! Cheers!!

How much work at the farm ! The portrait that already speaks .... the child seems ready to raise your head and say that ... it is very happy with her wonderful portrait!
ReplyDeleteWow, it was a busy day. I hope that the "inspector" was happy! I like your portrait story. It is looking beautiful. For a non-artist (except photography), it's fun to hear about how a painting comes about.
ReplyDeleteAs always, Kathryn, I love seeing Bruno and your farm and hearing about all the goings on! You are already preparing for winer and I haven't given it a thought yet! And I LOVE the portrait - I think it may be your best ever. It certainly is my new favorite! Can't wait to see the finish!

ReplyDeleteHello Kathryn:) Beautiful this portrait. Thank you for sharing your stap by step photo's. I scroll up and down, up and down, to compare all your steps. I learn a lot from you!
ReplyDeleteYour photo;s are so beautiful. I think it's a hard work life but also very nice to do. Have a nice weekend:)
The portrait is fantastic. The pose and the color and the composition all are great. Look what I've been missing I've been so caught up with what's going on with me. You make portraiture look so easy. You are absolutely inspiring. Yor 'spread' is inspiring and tiring too. Looks like you've had your hands full too. Great fun isn't it?
