Still Slow and Steady ...

I am oh-so-slowly deepening the grays.

Still more, and I have started some detail around the eye. To soften the body and neck,  and bring more of the focus to the eye area, I am working the grays from the body into the background. Hopefully this will lose some of the hard edges there. I must admit, I am fascinated with using the different colors of gray in this way.

I have also started a small head study of the filly.

As always, your comments are most welcome!

  2. Oh Kathryn, I've missed so many of your posts! I am sorry! It's just that I make life so hard for myself as I find more and more projects - than there is time to do them in!! They are all so exciting ...but chaotic!

I've read all your posts and they are, as usual, so interesting. I can't wait to see how they turn out, particularly the filly.

  5. I turn my back for a minute and off you are to another subject, another project, your favorite. How did the hydrangeas come out? I'll have to scroll back and take a look. This one is coming fine.
