IS VOODOO DOOMED???? ... Another Case of My Impatience Showing ...

I left the lad at this stage ...

... this morning I was in an impatient mad rush to get a background , and THIS is what happened.

I tried lifting  in the lower right area, but it's leaving hard-edged lines. I may try to play with it some more, but I don't have much hope for this rendition of Voodoo.

This is the effect for which I was aiming ...
This photograph was taken by Prasad Natarajan [On My Easel], an acquaintance on facebook. He takes superb Nature photos.

I believe I can do it ... IF I TAKE MY TIME!!!

Thank you for dropping in!

  1. I don't think he is doomed, Kathryn... I have a feeling that you will be able to find a way. I wish I could offer a suggestion, but I am stumped...

  2. Oh I do hope you can achieve the effect you're seeking although I do love the dramatic look you've shown here.
I've just abandoned a drawing and hate having to re-do it .... but sometimes its the only way I guess. Look forward to seeing progress on Voodoo

  6. I don't know how you did that background, it is really beautiful.. but maybe not the right one for Voodoo. You'll find a solution, I am sure.

  8. I see the "mistake" in the third version but really liked the second version, which reminded me of the steam coming off the horse after a run :) I know you can do this again - take your time, no rush, and have fun - it's definitely worth trying again...
